money — it lands in your bank, not ours.
Other ways to get paid
A handle is all these need — the pay link carries the amount. Nothing is
charged through SugarSnapp; your customer pays you directly.
Customers go to paypal.me/yourname with the amount filled in.
Venmo requires a business profile to sell — a personal account
breaks their terms. Leading “@” is optional; we store it without.

Card testers use the smallest amount that will go through, so a floor is the cheapest way to stop them. Leave it off unless you see a problem.

The keypad fills in from the cents, so $1,000.00 is one tap past $100.00. Above this amount the register shows the total and asks before charging it. Your customers’ checkout page asks too.

Ways to log a payment
Tick the ones you actually take. These appear first when you log a payment by hand at the register — everything else stays behind “More ways to pay”. The same list is used in the app.

Changing your handle breaks every link you have already shared — old QR signs stop working and a locked kiosk tablet must be re-locked at the new link. Do it before you print, not after.

Kiosk link — for a tablet you leave out at the stand
Open this on the tablet and it asks for a PIN — use the same one you use in the app. After that, Pay shows a QR code the shopper finishes on their own phone, nobody types a card into your tablet, and it clears itself after each sale. Leaving kiosk mode needs the PIN again, and your register stays out of reach even if you are signed in on that tablet.
The PIN stops a shopper wandering out of the storefront. To stop them leaving the browser entirely, turn on iOS Guided Access as well — triple-click the side button.
