SugarSnapp is an iOS app and companion web checkout by Francesco Bertocci LLC ("we") that provides a sales register, payment QR codes, an optional self-checkout page for your stall, market-organizer tools, and a ledger for independent vendors. SugarSnapp is free up to $300 of monthly sales volume; above that, a subscription is a flat $10/month or $100/year, purchased on our website. Founding pricing is open now. Organizer accounts are free — the volume cap and subscription apply to vendor sales only. We reserve the right to modify pricing and introduce new tiers with reasonable notice; existing subscribers will be notified before their next renewal, and founding subscribers keep their founding price.
SugarSnapp does not process, hold, or transmit funds, and is never a party to a sale. Payments occur directly between you and your customers through your own Stripe, PayPal, or Venmo accounts, under those services' terms. That includes card payments made through your self-checkout page and contactless card-present payments where available: those are processed by Stripe on your own Stripe account, under your agreement with Stripe, and the only fee is Stripe's — SugarSnapp adds no per-transaction fee and never holds funds. We are never the merchant of record and we take no commission. Where the app offers a refund action, it instructs your payment provider to refund from your balance on your behalf — we never refund from our own funds, and for cash, Venmo, PayPal and EBT the ledger simply records the refund you made yourself. Disputes and chargebacks are strictly between you, your customer, and your payment provider: the disputed amount comes from your balance, you respond through your provider’s dashboard, and SugarSnapp provides records (receipts, ledger) but does not mediate and cannot contest a dispute for you. EBT sales are recorded for bookkeeping only; SugarSnapp does not process EBT/SNAP payments.

Use of the app is licensed, not sold, under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
Your sales records, item names, and stand identity are yours. You are responsible for the accuracy of your ledger, for your own tax and regulatory obligations (including any EBT/SNAP authorization your business may require), and for what you sell.
Checkout links and card payments open Stripe, PayPal, or Venmo pages we do not control. Their availability, fees, and behavior are governed by their own terms.
QR generation works offline, but payment confirmation, the self-checkout page, and ledger sync require a connection to our backend. Farmers markets are famous dead zones — when there's no signal, take cash or Venmo and log it later. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service; keep your own records for anything critical.
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Your ledger is a bookkeeping aid, not an accounting system of record.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from payment disputes between you and your customers.
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected in the date above and noted in release notes. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
